Freefall opened on the 23rd of June, during the summer of 2007. This is a personal blog with no extra bells and whistles. No content, no resources, nothing in particular that you can download, unzip, and then gawk in amazement as something wonderful. Unless, of course, you’re referring to the entries themselves. (Or these scrapped together emoticons. But I like to keep those on the down low, for the rest of the internet doesn’t have to be aware of my horrible pixelling skills. Shhhh). It’s just a blog, nothing too shabby.

Name

I needed something. And I didn’t want to really pick something that reflects my character/personality/opinion. Only because the last time I did that, the site was named “Synergy” and “Outlook.” And, to me, that doesn’t have a nice enough ring to it as Freefall does. It was entirely on impulse, and I don’t suggest you make many impulsive moves often in life (like, I don’t know, impulsively drive to Canada on a whim without luggage, a passport, and maple syrup along with a complete stranger you picked up in Idaho who was wearing a toga and sunglasses and emitted the faint smell of stale cheese). I’m an advocate of “Let’s-Think-Before-Making-Decisions”, really.
