So, there was a flying beast in the gym today.

Not your average, typical flying beast with wings that you may come across, but one with beady eyes, gray feathers, a beak, and reputed to leave white poop on your car window that has a tendency to dry rather quickly and smell rather acridly.

Actually, I take that back. I believe it was a pidgin. It’s hard to distinguish between the two.

Expectedly, the students in my P.E. class could not help themselves from being entertained by the bird. It flew… and flew…. and flew in circles around the gymnasium, almost accidentally (or intended, I’ve yet to consult with the pidgin) swooping into a student’s face, quite similar to Fabio’s incident with the goose who just so happened to get in the way of his roller coaster and suffered a tragic death. The goose anyway. It was good ol’ jolly fun, being dazzled by a flying beast with wings and such.

I apologize. I mean, PIDGIN. Those terms are just so darn interchangeable.

I hoped for the bird to mark the territory with its signature white poop before flying out through the gymnasium doors, leaving us all with the title as The Pidgin Would Could Poop. Unfortunately, I was let down.

You could say I was certainly, undoubtedly moved by the performance of this pidgin, in fact, that while playing volleyball, I was far too concerned with the well being of the beast pidgin to happen to notice the 20MPH volleyball flying directly at my face. Is this a valid excuse? I believe so. Is this ironic? Oh, yes. Was this THE IDEAL MORNING? You unquestionably know it.

Haha, wow. People will always be distracted by anything that doesn’t happen in their everyday lives.

Oh, I loved playing volleyball in gym. It sadly was about the only thing I was good at, haha.

Pidgin? Pidgeon? I didn’t know you spelt that differently as well.

They’re evil. There are little pidgeon (pidgin? Pidgin?!) poo shaped splatters on my mum’s (mom) because the poo eats away the paint. Or Toyota has crappy paint. Whichever.

I’m scared crapless of birds. I was chased around the school oval by a magpie when I was in year 3. I think the term used here would be ’scarred for life’.

I can serve in volleyball :) but unfortunately cannot do much else.

Re Morgan: the bird is pigeon but i think there’s a grammatical devise called pidgin or something?

hmmfph, we get those all the time at PE. And at history once, there was a fantail stuck in the classroom for 40minutes. Poor bird, kept smashing into windows so we had to open them all :S

My friend was pooped on by a pigeon when we were in elementary school. We were outside playing tag during recess. And all of a sudden, it was like “PLOP. Tag, you’re it!”
When we looked up, we couldn’t even see the pigeon anymore. Probably flew away quickly after that embarassing incident.
    Falling poop, everyone’s favourite.

Ugh, I hate pigeons. Over spring break, a big fat one pooped all over my bag. I was horrified and could not believe my eyes  . They’re so mean looking, with their redish-orange beady eyes =/. If I would’ve experienced what you guys experienced, i would’ve ran. I don’t do that whole birds being in a room with me thing lol.

LMAO!!! Hilarious! Even more so because I am scared to death of birds in flight getting close to me and think of them as “beasts” too! lol, isn’t it interesting how one will get stuck in public domain flying about though and then it becomes the center of everyone’s attention?
