"I Ran Like A Beast" | Dec 18 07

Categorized in School.

I ran like a beast. I ran like a beast. I ran like a beast.

This is what I will continually tell myself until I reach full satisfaction. Which, may take, more or less, a couple days to adjust to and a couple more years to actually say that with actuality.

To elaborate, I’ve been told by my Track coach to run 2 miles a day, in order to get used to the “intense and excruciating routine” of the infamous Track athlete, who has the ability to accomplish 13 miles a day, as I’ve been told. He even had a little inspiring tale that went along:

“There were those who started out as track just as you did, with no experience. Now, they’ve pushed themselves farther and farther and now they are stars. Accomplished, athletic stars.” (some exaggeration may have been added without any intention)

Are you implying that I am currently not a star? Are you implying that I’m an internet addict, forever in relationship with HTML? Are you implying that I am a couch potato, forever stricken to watch pointless shows on cable?!

He was insanely accurate.

At the moment, by legs have tendency to flop over when I don’t push my feet against the wall, leaning my chair a little over 30 degreees, and possibly leading to a severe concussion. Ah yes, the trivials of a wannabe Track star.

… I ran like a beast.

Have you any athletic or physical endeavors or obstacles?

Ah, I love your layout first off, and secondly sorry for commenting at all.
Some goals for athleticism? MY ASS. All I care about right now is my musical career lols. A.K.A. my journeys in band and music class. :\ Sometimes I feel like I just wanna run (like Forrest Gump yeahs) or work out or something…just get more in shape…but I can’t be bothered. Second semester is starting soon and I have gym first thing in the morning so there you go - my intense physical training jam packed into and hour and fifteen minutes. Also some sketchy health lessons…we shall not delve further into this, as I’d rather not. My friends that have gym this semester tell me enough about it. :x BUT SCANDAL! You’re page has 15 errors. It’s not fully valid. Oh well, I have to use premade layouts for WP ’cause the ones I made myself had about 60 errors. o_O

I would love to run; hard and often. It makes me feel good, despite the physical strain. I think my main obstacle is just not doing it. I can’t go jogging out by myself, and no one will go with me. Plus, it’s getting too cold now :( But when given the opportunity, as in gym class last year, I really push myself and run well.

Two miles… two miles… two miles… I’ll procrastinate some more and work that out in kilometers later.

Hahahaha, me doing sport is a joke. I gave up on it last year. As much as I’d like to say I’m very good at track running and I’m an absolute star, I’m not. I’m one of those people who… I don’t know, fall over kicking a soccer ball or something. But I’ll bet you’re fitter/better at sport than I am. Good luck on ‘running like a beast’ and achieving those track-runner-dreams, my friend.

Hahha. Well, we are all there sometimes. Being couch potato is an important aspect of my life. I used to do swimming, soccer and all that jazz, and ran 3km without stopping. Came 1st too… Oh those were the days! I recommend swimming to increase your endurance, thats what helped me that lifetime ago!

Good luck with everything… and remember practice makes perfect ! So run like hell xD
