"Mac, Mac, Where Art Thou?" | Oct 28 07

Whenever my eyes feast upon my Geometry homework or the mounds of English worksheets, I have a tendency to turn this PC on. And thus, with the PC on, I then blankly stare at the Windows format that’s been placed upon my shoulders. And thus, the meandering thoughts of having a nice Mac desktop invades my mind like a swarm of killer bees on pursuit of a bothersome person. And thus, I once again stare at my schoolwork after the phase fades and the cycle flourishes once more. It’s infectious. You were warned.
Recently, I was on the prow for some spiffy desktop enhancement conveniently categorized at Download.com, when my eyes feasted (Note to self: more vocabulary words) on a ravishing (Note to self: never mind) additive to my hopeless desires for a Mac. Objectdock 1.9 (since, we’re getting rather technically with all these versions) is my savior! Despite the fact that it totally leaves me handicapped when working with certain programs when minimizing (*cough* Trillian *cough*) and is rather annoying when an icon doesn’t resize itself correctly within the dock (Filezilla…), I could care less! My Windows based software now “looks” as if the makers of Mac had surgically amputated their dock and stitched it to my Windows. This certainly fuels my satisfaction, surely.
And may I reveal to you, my magical dock:
Boy, am I desperate. But nonetheless, is it spiffy? Apple and Windows never looked any better.
Another note, do you think I can pull off a hopeless Apple fanboy for Halloween? Hmmm… would you consider offering a heap load of Reese’s Peanut Buttercups to a kid dressed in an inflatable IPod costume?

Oh, man. You little Apple fanboy. Jesus pesus, I’ve never seen anything like it. Dressing up as an iPod. Ohhhhh… god…
Never fear about my unimaginat…ivity? I have decided to go as a clown instead (it’s not much better, but hey, whatever). Because clowns… scared the crap out of me when I was a kid. In fact, they still do. Those scary clowns with the crosses on their eyes and their pale faces and…
Nevermind.

Hey Austin! LONG time, no chat! What’s up with you nowadays?
Comment on the blog before:
I know my dad is pretty screwed, himself, and most of the time I can’t stand him, but what you’re father said was inappropriate. Really, why would someone say such a thing? I hope your mother isn’t like that as well…I can’t do much but all I can say is I hope everything gets better =/ Life itself isn’t always perfect — I wish it existed though.
Comment on this blog:
LOL, technology is impressive, isn’t it?
Ahhh. I can’t stop thinking about your blog before. It’s really depressing. Your father truly is impatient! Geezes, 10 minutes and already he’s blowing up. I know for sure (or so I hope) it doesn’t take a minute for him to change. Ugh, I hate how messed up people can act towards others.
How’s high school? Everything okay with you? BTW, don’t think about commenting back. My cutenews is acting retarded; it deleted ALL of my comments, and isn’t letting people comment. If you wanna reply/talk just email me: sweeticious@gmail.com ;P
byeee.

I myself am lusting after a Mac, so that software may be finding itself on my sad little PC. Although I am rather attached to my laptop. :frustrated:
I read your past blogs and that spinning lady is so cool! I could change it when it was facing away from me, but only if I blinked at the right time. Hmmm.

That’s extremely nifty. I think I might download it sometime, except for the fact that my computer is slow as it is, and I shouldn’t burden it with yet more add-ons. And now for something more off-topic. Today I realized I had comment moderation on, and I had been ‘blocking’ your comments. Heh. Oh, the joys of WordPress. I still have much to learn.
I would’ve given candy to someone dressed like that. It would’ve been the most spiffing costume I’ve ever seen, except for that one where someone dressed up as Santa Claus…’cause that’s a very seasonal thing of them to do. Or off-seasonal, really.

Yes, your desktop is very Mac-ish.
I love the little widget-esque things you have on the side that tell you the volume percent, the date, etc. Niceeeee.
