"As Promised… The Epic Simpson’s Movie Hits The Cinema" | Jul 29 07
Categorized in Media & Entertainment.
Today me and the familia (excluding my Dad due to the fact that he’s always on the computer for some reason. Whether it be communicating, listening to Vietnamese radio, or even managing a bank account, my father is seemingly attracted or, glued, if you will, to that wide screen monitor) took a lawful trip to a nearby Casino to watch the epic, commercialized, and ubiquitous (7th Grade Vocabulary haunts me to this very day) The Simpson’s Movie. I’m not sure of the price of the tickets, when the movie would actually began, despite all the commotion of movie trailers, or rating of the movie, but doggone it, my brother and I were dying to see it after a lapse of avoiding the show altogether for the last year or so. My mother had, unfortunately, had to tag along. I say unfortunately, since, well, she’s not the most enthusiastic person when it comes to yellow cartoon characters doing their comedic thing. She’s not a fan of cartoons; we’ll leave it at that.
Entering the movie theater entrance, we came across the sight of many fans of the Simpsons occupying every single nook and cranny of room. I mean, really, we had to grab a seat up front (not the front row, staring up at the screen like turkeys waiting for rain, mind you) in the 3rd row to the front and had to cock our heads at an awkward 30 degree angle. If we weren’t going to take that “hot spot” than sooner or later, a mob of teens would’ve stolen our thrones. However, I would highly doubt sitting next to a complete stranger who cursed throughout the movie and chugged down a bag of popcorn like an engine disposing of overpriced oil was worthy of being declared as a “throne.” Eh, I lived though, I lived. At least the floor seats weren’t being occupied by us
The movie was a hit. At least in mine and my brother’s book. It had such spontaneous moments (I’ll spare the details), that the popcorn-huffer next to us chuckled so loud, it made some head turns, including mine, my brother, and the parental guardian. I could go into specific scenes… but I’ll leave it to you to buy a ticket. However, there was this certain instance where my lower jaw dropped and I wave of laughter echoed throughout the movie including a certain sister of the family
Oh, Lisa, she never cease to amaze me.
In the end of it all, I was extremely giddy at the fact that the movie didn’t abruptly end with the classic scene of Homer choking Bart in his casual ways. Or did he…? You’ll never know unless you buy some overpriced popcorn and grab a front seat.
I feel so sponsored for some reason. I assure you, it’s just a casual trip to the cinema.

I terribly want to go see the movie, but my mom won’t let me. She’s not a big fan of yellow people or cartoons either. =( So I can’t go with her! But I love Lisa, she’s the most sane out of her whole family! GO her!!! Lol, you’re completely advertising The Simpson’s Movie.

Aww I really wanna see that movie. I saw previes for it everywhere! I read some other reviews for it and they said it was kinda cheap. 2 1/2 stars out of 4. LOL. I bet it’s a lot better than that though. OH! And guess what?! My site is done!! Well, the layout and editing is but not the content so much. I did it!!! Thanks to you! Come check it out!!

Everybody gets to see it ._. Except me because I’ve apparently “seen too many movies”. Ohhh, you can never see too many movies.
My mother doesn’t quite like the Simpsons either. She thinks they’re just a bunch of yellow people running around. Pfft. She doesn’t get the jokes and stuff. And she thinks the Simpsons movie is just like a normal episode of the Simpsons.
Oh, the horror.

I was supposed to see the Simpsons Movie last Saturday but there was a fire alarm going off in the carpark when we got to the mall lol wtf?!
I definitely can’t wait to see it now though, especially since the reviews for this movie have said nothing but postive things.

I going to see that movie for sure! Movies are over 1 week late here in Malta, and about 3 weeks in Gozo so XDD I’ll have to wait. I might have to go with some friends because my mum does not like cartoons (unless Tom and Jerry if they count..lol)
Have a nice week and be good XD

I saw the movie too! I saw it in a drive-in with peope everywhere. We had a person next to us that was really laughing too. There were a lot of head turns o part like you. How could you go into a casino and see it, though? Also, I stayed at college … I didn’t go to college. It was my whole 9th grade together.

Like I said before, I was never a huge fan of The Simpsons. Mostly because we didn’t have that channel among our 999. Stupid satellite… It sounds funny though. I can imagine a large balding yellow man, choking a little yellow boy with no hair. I’m not exactly sure if Bart has hair or not, even though his head is spiky… Strange.

You made me want to go see it. Evil Austin.
Trying to make me spend $12.50 and $3 for the overpriced popcorn.
Jul Mon 07 at 6:15 pm , Abby Says:
I’m so desperate to see the movie ! Crikey moses, everyone who’s seen it has said it’s brilliant ! I’ll have to go see it and refrain from googling it in a months time

Before the comment page appeared I noticed title of your last post “rambling”. My friend’s fav word.
And just like him, I see you’re a big fan of Simpsons. I’ve never really watched it due to the fact I’m not from the USA and the never play it on TV here in Poland (Europe). I heard of it though. I have no opinion on that, then. I bet the show must have had a lot of fans since they made a movie about it. I recently heard there’s going to be a movie about The Sims 2, lmao! ;D
Heh, I bet I’m gonna be a witness of my friend’s opinion on that movie. And I also bet he’s gonna be so excited like you, lol. xD

Oh yeah, I noticed that thing. Especially when I commented on some really dificult to understand post. You know, with this smart vocabulary. I’m not a native english speaker and it would take me ages to get the point of the blog note. So yeah, I do read comments, because ppl talk less smart in them.
I don’t comment on similar things, though. That’s idiotic. I try to find my own thoughts on the blog note.
Heh, I’m already behind my 6th book this summer.
Well, 4 of them where light (for teens and my pleasure :D) and only one school book, ha ha. It’s gonna change, mom’s gonna bring me another school book tomorrow. :/ At least it will be more interesting than middle-ages.
Yep, I had kinda problem with suiting the navigation links with their destination. “You” and “me” are easy, but “gallery” or “scans”, lol. Oh well, I like this the way it is.
Oh, and just about that popcorn thing once again…I never mentioned in my comment.
I know those ppl who sit on their chairs and eat like monkeys… O.O I have been a witness of such accidents in cinema not once. Especially kids…gosh. I reflect on if those ppl act like this in their house, too.
