Life. It’s full of sporadic happenings, depressing downfalls, and stages where indifferences is haunting. Each life on this earth is different, in no ways an exact mirror image of each other. None are perfect…. yet they seem to be to some. Some are a complete mess… yet others may find it inspirational. It all comes down to perspective. My life, from my perspective, is horridly bland at the moment with nothing to do and mediocre happenings. To others, it might seem like a jumbling act in a circus. But that’s beside the point at the moment. I just have a tendency to ramble really.

I recently come across this “secret” that this movie below portrays. Yes, it is a movie. It’s an hour and 18 minutes long in fact (bring some popcorn and drinks). But nonetheless, it’s this so-called “SECRET” to life. A Universal Law if you will (note how I capitalized those mighty words) Or at least that’s how my comprehension finds it as. I don’t expect you to watch this movie in the least bit at all (well.. maybe 3 minutes? Just fast forward a LOT if needed be :) ) but rather I’m gonna try to sum it up for those who cannot give an hour an 18 minutes of their time to my beloved blog. I’m procrastinating already. This is bad news for you commenters who are in a rush to read this blog so you can finally get out of the house and party or something of the sort :) I don’t blame you. Just take me with you! ;)

In a nut shell, this so-called “SECRET” is all in terms of attraction. No, no, no, not THAT kind of attraction *cough*. More in terms with the magnetism concept. Whatever you wish to come true, whatever your thoughts are saying, whatever your emotions are at the moment, will all result into your future. Whatever positive focused thoughts come to your head, the more positive happenings will occur in the future, which could be in the next minute, hour, day, etc. Whatever negative thoughts or emotions inflict upon you and the more you focus on the subject, the more bad luck shall be inflicted upon yourself. It’s like… karma? I’m not sure if that’s the correct word… or it’s the opposite OF KARMA. Anywho…

This could be the reason positively-focused people live longer. Or it’s just one of those things that always gives you faith no matter the situation. Either way… you’ll get a better explaination as opposed to my vague attempt by using your mouse and clicking the play button below. Hey, that’s some wrist action if you’re able to do that; burning 0.2 of a calorie! WHOOT! Can’t you feel the burn ;)




What do you think? Is it phony? Is it a realistic aspect? I’m just aiming for some opinions here.

UPDATES// I’ve got up a new layout featuring Death Cab For Cutie =) the result you see here is the reason I haven’t been returning comments. I’ll be sure to do so tomorrow.

LIFE// Oh and by the way. My brother’s cleaning furiously today. It must mean SOMETHING. I mean, you don’t see a 5th grade boy who usually lounges around and watches Wild N’ Out start cleaning like some maid everyday. He must want something. That boy has made my bed, vacuumed, and at the moment, is folding laundry. This is a sign. In fact… his birthday’s coming up…

    I saw your layout before I went to my class(though I wasn’t able to comment)…I like the color combinations…and I don’t think I ever came up with a brown-scheme layout. One time, I’ll try to. Haha

    Haha, nice to know how many calories I burn with all my clicking then. But ooh, a very deep blog this time around, can’t say I’ll be watching the whole hour and something of the movie, but I might randomly watch some :)

    The new layout looks awesome. I want those dollar sign glasses that the guy has in the layout. I remember when I wanted something, I started cleaning as well. Heh. It’s like it’s a reflex built into your subconscious to suddenly start cleaning when you want something. I think the ’secret’ is another one of those ‘discoveries’ that people have known for centuries. If you think positive, then you’re probably going to have a happier life. If you’re a negative person and think that everyone’s out to kill you, and then you lock yourself in your room, your life is bound to suck.

But this sort of sounds like… psychology? It IS sort of Karma, only it rebounds on yourself…. Am I making sense? I dont know what I’m talking about, now, I’m confused.
    You know, you are WAY too smart. This blog and the article you made about quitting making graphics for visitors, and your advice to me about trying ‘him’ out [not saying that him is sort of like an 'it,' haha] are all very good advices and they really make you think. They sort of look like they’re hard to understand but when you tihnk about it a bit, they actually do make sense :D

    Lovely layout you have here, i love the setup and the header. Great colours used :) There’s something up with my computer so i can’t watch the video but if i go on what you said, i think that it’s just all in your head and how you view things. If you’re negative all the time, bad things will happen and you will only have yourself to blame. And most probably you would’ve expected it. Think positively, maybe the bad things may turn out to be good things because of your perspective and how your choose to deal with the situation.

    I completely agree with you about how you feel or how you think will create a certain outcome in your future, it all depends on you. If it’s good, then you’ll create a good outcome. And if it’s bad, then something bad will happen, ten times fold. Or however you say that phrase lol. About “The Secret”, I got a book from the library, it’s a self-help book called “The Secret” (or I think it’s a self-help book), is this blog based on that?

    cool new layout, i likessss it. and yeah, i know my layout was kind of bright & i know it’s not really your cup of tea lol. dark layouts with neon colors is good though, you can never fail with that unless you just can’t design well? but you don’t have to worry about that so let me move on!

    i am sorry austin but i’m a lazy bum. a lazy bum who will not be able to sit on her butt and watch that movie lol. but i did read your quick synopsis! it reminds me of some ABC or NBC special i was watching and it was about lucky people? I think they said like they told themselves they were lucky, they were optimistic and “lucky” things constantly happened to them. IDK if i really believe in it though, but i believe in Karma, so perhaps i do believe? whooo i contradict myself and i am oh so proud.

    Wow.. okay, this my sound a little wierd, but here I go anyways. I don’t know if you read my blogs last month.. they were pretty blahh.. down low, not very happy. Well I actually fell upon this video..’The Secret”.. and I watched it.. and my mouth pretty much fell open.. I thought about it.. and it made since, but you couldn’t think of it in quite a literal form. So I began using it.. it was hard at first since I felt so low at that moment, but I made sure I remained positive and thought positive and I.. got my prom dress just in time for prom, found an amazing prom date from Germany who just happen to be in for a visit, lost the weight I felt I needed to loose, received interviews and job offerings and a lot of little things. Around prom time I was really into it, but I’ve been slacking since recent probably because I’m on my monthly and I don’t give a fuck at th moment, but yeah.. thats my say on it.

    A girl I work with is always talking about that video “the secret” I personally don’t believe in luck, but I do feel it is important to have a positive outlook on life. I believe that God is in control of what happens. Some of the basic principles that video touches on are just common sense, but in my opinion it is a load. The way I see it, I have joy and hope for tomorrow because I know in my heart that I have a Lord and savior that has my life and this entire world in the palm of his hand. Anyhow, the teal you used in this layout is beautiful with the brown!

    Anywhos… I definitely think that what you said is true. The more positive thoughts actions we commit, then we’ll have more positive things happen to us. Same thing with negative things. I try to be optimistic about things, but of course I have streaks of pessism at times. It’s definitely a great way to live life….

    Um…this “secret”/”Universal Law” thing…I don’t think that if your outlook on life is positive, life will be good/positive for you. Your life is what you MAKE of it…not what you THINK of it.
    I don’t have an hour and 18 minutes because I have to get out of the house and party but I can’t take you with me…Unless you come to ASIA. xD No, I’m not really going out to party but I do have to get going. Anyhoo-ers.
